The Friends of The Strand is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions to The Strand, including Membership fees, are tax deductible within the limits prescribed by law.

FUELING 180+ ANNUAL SHOW DATES

Your monthly gift of $35 brings hundreds of Strand-produced performance dates to life each year, from 4th floor terrace bands to mainstage theatrical productions. It also ensures we hire local musicians and artists weekly, keeping homegrown talent center stage all year long.

EXPANDING ARTS EDUCATION ACCESS

In 2024 alone, more than 500 fifth graders learned about the arts through our partnership with Marietta City Schools, and dozens of students enjoyed summer camps and arts education experiences through the Strand Academy. Your monthly support keeps partnerships and our youth education programs accessible and affordable to the next generation of artists and leaders.

OPENING OUR DOORS FOR ALL

From sensory-friendly movies and themed concert experiences to partnerships with other local nonprofits, your monthly gift makes The Strand a welcoming space for thousands year-round. We also host dozens of nonprofit and civic events annually – strengthening local partnerships and community pride.

SUSTAINING PRESERVATION

Leaders from our community came together to restore and reopen The Strand in 2009, preserving its 1935 charm and reimagining it as a vibrant nonprofit arts center. Today, it stands as both a cultural cornerstone and a driving force behind downtown Marietta’s economic vitality. Your monthly gift helps protect this beloved landmark and ensures it continues to inspire, unite, and energize our community for generations to come.

DELIVERING UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES

In 2024 alone, nearly 61,000 guests from 41 states and 86 of Georgia’s 159 counties experienced concerts, comedians, films, and unforgettable moments at The Strand. Whether we’re serving our neighbors or your new best friends from out of town, your $35 monthly gift helps us bring top-tier touring artists to Marietta Square – making every visit something special.
