About the show:
Parade is a Tony Award-winning musical that explores love, justice, and the consequences of prejudice in early twentieth-century America. Set in 1913, the story follows Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-born Jewish factory manager living in Georgia, who is accused of the murder of thirteen-year-old factory worker Mary Phagan. As the trial unfolds amid rising public outrage, sensationalized media coverage, and deep social divisions, Leo finds himself condemned in the court of public opinion long before the verdict is delivered.
With a book by playwright Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) and a haunting score by Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County, Songs For a New World), Parade follows Leo as he struggles to navigate a hostile community and a justice system shaped by fear and political pressure.
