Marietta, Ga. (Feburary 5, 2014) — For two weeks this March, The Strand invites Marietta to pull on its boots and get back to its roots in the most high-spirited hometown hoedown this side of the Mason-Dixon line — The Pickup Truck Revue: A Hometown Country Show!
The Pickup Truck Revue will kick off on March 7th and give Marietta the chance to do the boot scootin’ boogie to country favorites old and new. This musical revue will feature talented performers singing and dancing in full Dixie spirit, taking patrons to a simpler place and time of cowboys in pickups and the pretty southern gals that drive them crazy! The Pickup Truck Revue will feature classic country songs such as Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys to hoedown favorites like Cotton Eyed Joe, as well as other contemporary classics, bluegrass tunes, heartbreak songs, and current radio hits. The Pickup Truck Revue is guaranteed to be a boot stompin’ knee slappin’ good time for old timers and young whippersnappers alike.
The Pickup Truck Revue packs over 40 songs in an hour and a half and includes hits by Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Earl Scruggs, Dolly Parton, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, and more.

The historic Earl Smith Strand Theatre is a multi-use performing arts and events facility.
