MARIETTA, Ga. (October 23, 2014) – There are many delicious smells that fill the restaurants of Cobb County at any given time, but this October 23, at 6:30 p.m., those scents will all reside under the roof of The Strand Theatre. STRANDelicious is here again and this year the “square” meals will be from all around town.
It is the third annual STRANDelicious fundraising event, and this year, along with presenting partner Community & Southern Bank, The Strand will feature local flavors as the theme. “This event is such a great opportunity to sample a variety of delicious foods from all over Cobb County,” says Andy Gaines, Director of Operations at The Strand, “and we can’t wait for the theatre to be filled, top to bottom, with these great tastes and smells.”
The event will be a progressive dinner in which patrons will have the opportunity to experience tastes of Cobb County. The tasty adventure will begin in the lobby of the theatre with appetizers. Guest will continue to the second floor for salads and entrees, and will then proceed up to the fourth floor for desserts and a gorgeous view of the Marietta Square. Musicians will be playing in each of the areas to offer a live soundtrack to guest’s dining experience.
The list of restaurants participating in the event is ever-increasing, but some of the confirmed local eateries include: Carriage House Catering, Taqueria Tsunami, Gabriel’s, Pressed Panini Bar, D.C. Backyard Grill, Vineyard Café, Ye Olde Christmas and Candy Shoppe, Shillings on the Square, and more.
This fundraising event will go to support the Earl Smith Strand Theatre to aid in its continued efforts to bring performance arts and event opportunities to the Marietta community.
