Strand Reopens Rooftop Bar for Fat Tuesday Celebration

Marietta, Ga. (February 2, 2012) — The Strand reopens its rooftop bar for a Fat Tuesday celebration you won’t want to miss. The long awaited re-opening of The Strand’s rooftop bar couldn’t come with a better way to celebrate than a Mardi Gras party.

The party starts at 7PM and will continue until midnight.

Featuring live New Orleans jazz led by local musician Jacob Deaton, the rooftop will be transformed into a New Orleans style speakeasy, a place to spend Fat Tuesday that offers drinks, beads, and the best live music in town.

Cover is $5 at the door

Space is limited to 200 people.

The historic Earl Smith Strand Theatre is a multi-use performing arts and events facility. The theatre is governed by the Friends of The Strand, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and depends on the financial support of private and corporate donors. It is The Strand’s mission to serve the community with cultural entertainment for a diverse audience and to promote economic health in the City of Marietta and Cobb County.
