Marietta, Ga. (August 23, 2012) —The Strand brings you another rousing hit this September with Salute to America, an exciting new musical revue and tribute to both classic and new patriotic music. Salute to America’s star-spangled salute to music will make you stand up and be proud to be an American.
Featuring over 30 songs in ninety minutes, this show will include everything from traditional songs like America the Beautiful, The Battle Hymn of the Republic and The Star Spangled Banner to more contemporary numbers including We’re an American Band originally by Grand Funk Railroad to Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen.
“One of our goals in producing this show is to rekindle patriotism and hope for the future of this country even as we remember the terrible events of Sept. 11, 2001,” said director Earl Reece. “There is no better country in the world that the United States of America. There is no better way to celebrate our great county than through song and dance. “
The show will run September 7th-8th at 8pm and September 9th at 3pm. Join The Strand on September 11th at 8pm for a special showing ofSalute to America to both celebrate and remember the tenacity, will, and strength of the American spirit.
Tickets are $20. Tickets are $15 with a military ID. All tickets are assigned seating.

The historic Earl Smith Strand Theatre is a multi-use performing arts and events facility.
