Jacob Valleroy is thrilled to be making his Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre debut! He is a graduate of the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) with a degree in Musical Theater. Favorite Atlanta shows include The Last Five Years (Jamie), Les Mis (Enjolras), Spring Awakening (Melchior), Bonnie and Clyde (Ted), and Big Fish (Will Bloom). Ashley Averette is ecstatic to be making her Georgia debut at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in their production of Parade! She graduated from Northwestern State University in Louisiana with a BFA in Musical Theatre (2023). Her past professional credits include three summers in the company of The Lost Colony where she was an onstage swing, dance captain, and fire dancer. She has also enjoyed her work with The National Theatre for Children in recent years. Ashley is extremely grateful to be a part of this company sharing such a big piece of history with this community. Chase Byrd is making his Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre debut and is thrilled to be joining this production of Parade! Jalyn Tranice Bentley is excited to join the cast of Parade! Recently seen as Urleen in Footloose at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre as well as Levora Verona in Disaster! At Marietta Theatre Company, and Home for the Holidays with Han-made Cabarets. She trained at Reinhardt University from 2018-2022 in their Musical Theatre program and now attends Kennesaw State University to further her education. Dawn Parker is thrilled to have the honor of directing this production of Parade in this beautiful historic theater and in the City of Marietta that means so much to her and so many. Last year, she directed her first show at The Strand, Bright Star, which is currently nominated for 3 Suzi Bass Awards including Outstanding Production. She was also voted the Regional Broadway World Awards Best Director and Best Choreographer for Bright Star. She has been teaching dance and theatre in the Cobb County community for over 35 years. She is the Director of Theatre and Fine Arts Chair at the award-winning program at Kennesaw Mountain High School and a graduate of North Cobb High School. She holds a BS in Dance Education from the University of Georgia and a MAT in Theatre Education from Brenau University. Dawn serves on the production team for Georgia All-State Theatre as well as the Performing Arts Advisory Council for the Cobb County School District and the Performing Arts Resources and Support Team for the Cobb County School District. She was named the first ever recipient of the CCSD Theatre/Dance Teacher of the Year for 2020-21 and is the current KMHS Teacher of the Year for 2026-27. Dawn has directed shows such as Once on This Island, Pippin, Children of Eden, Spamalot, Water by the Spoonful, Elephant’s Graveyard, Sweeney Todd, Tarzan and many, many more. She is a proud mom to Steven, Brennan, Tehya, Ashlyn and Serena and wife to her high school sweetheart, Todd. She would like to thank this outstanding cast and wonderful production team for their unending support and encouragement. She would also like to thank her family, KMHS Drama students and KMHS Fine Arts staff for their grace and patience during this process and sharing her with her Parade family!
Madison Willits serves as the Production Director at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, where she works behind the scenes to bring a wide range of theatrical productions and live events to life. With a passion for the performing arts and a love for the many moving pieces that make a show possible, Madison oversees the production process from planning and preparation through opening night and beyond. She is especially grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with talented artists, technicians, designers, and performers, and to help create experiences that connect audiences with the stories being told onstage. Madison is proud to be part of The Strand and looks forward to continuing to support the theatre community both onstage and behind the scenes.
Kevin Sanders is a pianist, composer, and music director based in Metro Atlanta who has been playing professionally since the age of 18. His playing career has taken him all across the US and has most recently been heard leading several projects for The Strand Theater in Marietta, Ga. With a background that encompasses jazz, rock, and country music styles, Kevin continues to maintain a continuous schedule of performances in concerts, worship, theater productions, and corporate events.
Elliott Folds is an Atlanta-based dramaturg, performer, and educator. As a dramaturg and actor, he has worked at multiple theatre companies across the metro Atlanta area, including Actor’s Express, Alliance Theatre, ART Station, Atlanta Shakespeare Company, Aurora Theatre, Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Out Front Theatre Company, Stage Door Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, and Woodstock Arts. He is currently a professor of theatre at Clark Atlanta University. He is honored to return to this beautiful, urgent musical at the Strand. All my love, as always, to Caty.
Greyson Wade is honored to be collaborating with Dawn as the assistant director on this production. While this is his first time behind the directing table, he has choreographed and music directed multiple high-school productions in the Metro Atlanta Area. Greyson has performed previously at The Strand in last year’s production of Bright Star and some of his favorite acting credits have been for Merrily We Roll Along, All Shook Up, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Little Mermaid, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Greyson graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Anderson University. He is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Theatre Education from Reinhardt University, with the goal of teaching theatre at the High School level in the Atlanta Metro area. He would like to thank his beautiful wife Caroline and his parents Van and Cathy for their continued support and fostering of his love for theatre. Parade is such a beautiful and important story for Marietta and Atlanta as a whole and he is blessed to be a part of telling it.
Maria Scott is so excited and honored to be making her Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre debut with Parade! She graduated from Columbus State University in 2023 with her BFA in Stage Management. She has previously stage managed with the Springer Opera House in Columbus, Georgia, and with Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Tennessee. Maria is so grateful to be able to not only do this show again, but bring it to where it all began. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support, Jenny and Don Barbour for their kindness and generosity, and this wonderful cast for their hard work and dedication to bringing this show to life with as much respect to the history as possible.

Matt Sheren has worked in live events for over 22 years, touring the world with Grammy-winning artists and bringing productions to life on stages across the globe. Throughout his career, he has contributed to more than 25 musicals and continues to have a deep passion for live theater and entertainment. Matt is grateful to be part of this production and to keep doing what he loves.
Zakhar Salonikau is a touring lighting and audio engineer based in the ATL area. He has worked on multiple plays and musicals with some of his favorites being Footloose and High School Musical. Zakhar would like to thank Julian and The Strand for allowing him to work alongside such an amazing cast and crew!
Julian B. Martin is the Technical Director of The Strand Theatre and a live production professional and systems engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia, with over 15 years of experience in AV technology, production, and entertainment. Throughout his career, he has worked globally with major networks, top artists, and professional productions across film, television, live events, and theater. For Parade, Julian oversees sound and lighting design, set design, and technical stage production, combining creative vision with technical expertise to bring productions to life. Working across both the business and creative sides of the entertainment industry, he specializes in producing immersive live experiences and high-level technical productions.
Alex Matthews serves as a Theater Technician at The Strand. He began his career in the AV industry as the spotlight operator for Menopause The Musical, where he earned the nickname “SpotOpAlex.” With a growing passion for live production and theater technology, Alex continues to develop his skills in lighting and stage production.
Ashlyn Parker is a senior at Penn State Harrisburg where she is the office manager for the campus’ Kulkarni Theater. She has stage managed multiple shows at PSH as well as worked as a production team member. Ashlyn also designs and procures costumes for the Kennesaw Mountain High School Drama Summer Performance Camps. Before pursuing her degree in Communication Science and Disorders, Ashlyn danced extensively and enjoyed being a part of the Technical Theatre program at KMHS Drama. She has enjoyed working alongside her mother to bring the world of Parade to life.
Elizabeth Siegel is delighted to be working on her first production with the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre! She is a costumer, stage manager, and Artistic Mental Health Practitioner here in the Atlanta area. Most recently, she was the assistant stage manager on All Shook Up at Marietta Theatre Company; she is currently costuming with Stagedoor’s Academy and Discovery Stage Company. Kevin Sanders is a pianist, composer, and music director based in Metro Atlanta who has been playing professionally since the age of 18. His playing career has taken him all across the US and has most recently been heard leading several projects for the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta, GA. With a background that encompasses jazz, rock, and country music styles, Kevin continues to maintain a continuous schedule of performances in concerts, worship, theater productions, and corporate events.
Alex Lipsky has a diverse performing background including performances with Smokey Robinson, Michael Buble, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Groban, as well as numerous orchestras from Atlanta, GA all the way out to Denver, CO. She has been playing and performing since the age of five and absolutely loves taking the stage. While Alex performs often in the classical setting, she loves new music and playing pop/rock on violin with various touring groups and local artists. When she isn’t off performing, Alex teaches private lessons to her favorite kiddos in Roswell and Midtown, GA. She also shows her passion for music education through numerous concerts given every year in hopes of enriching and educating the local community on music (and how to keep the arts alive!).
Bill has been an active freelance musician since he moved to Atlanta in 2001. He holds degrees in Music Management and Classical Performance in tuba and recently finished a jazz performance bass degree from Kennesaw State University. He plays bass for the live band, heavy metal karaoke, Metalsome. He also plays a number of shows at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre, plays with the jazz group The Troy Brown Collective and the Julian Laury Trio and plays bass with the prog metal band Sight of Theia.
Camilla Sanders serves as Executive Director of The Falany Performing Arts Center at Reinhardt University. Before life at The Falany, she worked for the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre as their Production Director. She has worked as a professional pianist and vocalist in many genres for over thirty years. Her favorite gig of all time is working with the SFB “Sanders Family Band” with her husband Kevin, son Jonah and daughter Sweetie Edie. She also loves playing with GPG’s Queen Tribute band where she will most definitely rock you.
Chris Riggenbach has played bass with Josh Groban, Wayne Newton, Chloe Agnew, Audrey Shakir, Karla Harris, Sarah Partridge, Keith David, Matt Catingub, Jens Lindemann, Jerry Fields & Vecinos del Mundo, Joe Gransden, Gary Motley, Wycliffe Gordon, Victor Goines, Ted Howe, Gavin Ahearn Trio, Marcus Lewis, Tempest Little Big Band, Raphael Imbert, Macon Pops, Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Wind Symphony, Jazz Legacy Big Band, Larry Camp, 4th Ward Afro Klezmer Orchestra, and Gold Sparkle Band among many others. Other performance credits include the musicals Wicked, Cats, Bright Star, The Last Five Years, Grease, Jukebox Giants: Motown & More!, Anything Goes, Camelot, Beehive, The Sound of Music, Catch Me If You Can, Dreamgirls, Bonnie & Clyde, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. International performances include a tour in Poland with the Josh Lawrence Jazz 3. Chris holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Georgia State University. He teaches bass at Emory University, Oglethorpe University, and his teaching studio. Chris studied double bass with Ralph Jones and Thomas Thoreson from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Dee Moses from the Florida Orchestra, Neal Starkey, Dennis Irwin, Rich Nanista, Robert Dickson, and electric bass with Russ Rodgers.
Katie Taylor is an active freelance violist and private instructor in Metro-Atlanta. She performs a wide range of styles from Baroque to Pop and musical theater and has appeared with such artists as Michael Buble, Sutton Foster, and the Trans Siberian Orchestra to name a few. She performs regularly with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, Terminus Ensemble, and is a string faculty at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta.
Katie has an extensive background in chamber music, having attended prestigious festivals such as The Castleman Quartet Program, Killington Music Festival, and the Maine Chamber Music Seminar.
She has performed in master classes for renowned violists such as Roberto Diaz, Yizhak Schotten, and Karen Ritscher. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Columbus State University and a masters degree in orchestral instrument performance from Georgia State University where she was the recipient of the Dean’s Fellowship Award. Her major teachers were Tania Maxwell Clements and Zoran Jakovcic.
Dr. Katy Ray is an active freelancing performer and teacher in Georgia and the metro Atlanta area. She currently serves as Principal horn of Rome Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra. She has performed concerts with Josh Groban, Jon Batiste, Gregory Alan Isakov, Gucci Mane, Sutton Foster, Nas, Dennis DeYoung, Chloe Agnew, John Driscoll Hopkins, Timothy Miller, and Balsam Range. Dr. Ray has had the opportunity to serve in the pit orchestras for several local professional theatre productions such as Assassins, Chess, Ragtime!, Parade, and Into the Woods, as well as many community and student productions. Dr. Ray regularly teaches at Westminster School as Brass Coach for Upper and Middle Schools and works as a sectional coach at local schools and maintains a private studio in Cobb County.
Lee Holbrook is a cellist and cello teacher based in the Atlanta area. Lee holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from Indiana University. Lee currently performs as a freelancer in the Atlanta area and with orchestras like the Valdosta Symphony. Previously, Lee has performed with ensembles including the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, the Round Top Festival Orchestra, AIMS in Graz Orchestra, and Chicago Civic Orchestra.
Miranda Dohrman is a freelance clarinetist and instructor. She performs frequently with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, and many other professional orchestras in Georgia. She also performs with musical theater companies throughout the Southeast, including performances at the Fox Theatre and City Springs Theatre in Atlanta. Miranda is a charter member of the Atlanta Ragtime Band and a founding member of the Balkan-style brass band Mercury Orkestar. Miranda received a Bachelor of Music degree and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, and a Master of Music degree from Florida State University. She is an Artist Affiliate at Agnes Scott College and maintains an active teaching studio, specializing in individual and online instruction. Recordings include performances with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Telarc), the Atlanta Chamber Winds (Albany), the Florida Orchestra (Naxos), and the New York-based new music ensemble Alarm Will Sound (Nonesuch).
Nich Gannon grew up in Blue Ridge. Georgia, Nich was first introduced to the drumset in 5th grade. His first kit was an old drum set his father found on the back porch of an abandoned house.After high school Nich went on to study percussion at Young Harris College, where he graduated. After receiving his Bachelor’s in Music, Nich attended Georgia State University where he received his Master’s in Jazz Studies. While at GSU, Nich had the opportunity to attend masterclasses and perform alongside many nationally renowned artists including Grammy Award Winning Trumpeter Randy Brecker(Brecker Brothers), Curtis Lundy(Betty Carter), Ignacio Berroa, Rene Marie, and many others.As a performer Nich has played alongside and recorded with local artists such as Hughes Taylor, Jordan Maye, The Ides of June, Rob Leines, Barry Richman, and many others.
